High-Build Texture Varnish Labels

High-build texture varnish uses UV-curable resins to create significant physical height and intricate patterns on a label’s surface. Unlike traditional embossing, which reshapes the substrate itself, high-build varnish is an additive process. It is deposited on top of the material in thicknesses ranging from 20 to over 100 microns. This allows for a “selective” tactile experience where specific design elements—such as logos, brand names, or functional grips—are raised without affecting the integrity or flat profile of the rest of the label. Raised UV texture varnish coating is applied to selected areas to make that spot stand out. Texture varnish can be printed on any surface, from wine bottles to health and beauty aids. It’s simply an extra layer that makes an outstanding impression!

Brainstorm with us about how you can use texture varnish for ultimate impact—and you’ll stand above your competition.

Spot Varnish Finishes

Another premium printing technique designed to add to your product’s shelf appeal and make your brand stand out is spot varnish finishing. By applying a clear, high-gloss Spot UV coating to specific areas of your design—like a logo, brand name, or intricate pattern—you create a striking visual and tactile contrast against a matte background. This selective finish doesn’t just catch the light; it invites customers to reach out and touch, increasing engagement and perceived value. Perfect for luxury goods, craft beverages, and boutique health products, custom spot varnish labels offer a sophisticated, professional edge that turns standard packaging into a high-end brand experience.

Embossed Labels

Give your packaging a dimension customers can actually feel with embossed labels, the gold standard for high-end, artisanal branding. By using heat and pressure to create a raised, 3D effect on specific design elements, such as your logo or brand name, you add a layer of tactile sophistication that flat printing simply cannot replicate. This “touch-to-buy” appeal is a powerful psychological trigger that boosts brand trust and perceived value. Whether you’re opting for blind embossing for a subtle, minimalist look or pairing it with metallic foils for a striking finish, custom embossed labels ensure your product stands out in a crowded marketplace, turning every interaction into a premium sensory experience.

Textured Surface Labels

Transform your product into a memorable sensory experience with textured surface labels, the ultimate choice for brands that want to communicate authenticity and craftsmanship. By utilizing premium materials like linen, felt, and estate papers, these labels offer a sophisticated, organic feel that standard smooth stocks simply can’t match. Tactile packaging does more than just look good—it slows down the consumer’s journey, encouraging them to physically engage with your product. Whether you are aiming for the rustic charm of a craft winery or the understated elegance of boutique skincare, custom textured labels provide a high-end, “grit-and-glamour” aesthetic that signals quality before the customer even opens the package.

Braille & ISO Tactile Hazard Labels

Make your CPG packaging more accessible with the addition of Braille and tactile elements. Our high-speed UV rotary screen printing technology can apply high-build tactile dots inline and at scale for high-volume CPG label runs and for pharmaceuticals.

For chemical, industrial, or pharmaceutical, or other potentially hazardous products, we can produce triangle tactile warning labels. These mandatory 3-point tactile symbols provide a critical ‘failure to warn’ safeguard for the visually impaired, and comply with the BS EN ISO 11683:1997 standard. Like for our Braille label products, we use high-build UV rotary screen printing for triangle tactile hazard labels. Whether you need a 9 mm or 18 mm size, you can be assured that the tactile equilateral triangle maintains its regulatory height and crisp edges even on curved surfaces or in harsh chemical environments.
