“I wanted to thank you for helping us out over the last week. We ended up in a bind due to commitments we made to our largest customer, on the implementation date of their newest product. Unfortunately UL threw us some curve balls at the last second that caused this to be expedited. In any event, you have been very helpful and I wanted you to know that we really appreciated it and recognizes
Gallas Label’s excellent customer service.”

UL Labels FAQs

UL labels are crucial for several reasons:

Safety: They assure end-users that a product has been independently tested for safety risks.
Compliance: Many industries and regulatory bodies require UL certification for specific products, especially in electrical and electronic goods.
Credibility: A UL label enhances a brand's reputation and builds consumer trust.
Market Access: In many markets, UL certification is a prerequisite for product entry.

We print a wide variety of UL-recognized and UL-certified labels, including but not limited to:

  • UL Type R labels: These are for recognized components that are part of a larger UL-certified product.
  • UL Type L labels: These are for listed products that have been evaluated against UL's safety standards.
  • Warning and instructional labels: These often incorporate UL-recognized materials and adhesives to ensure durability and compliance with safety messaging requirements.
  • Durable goods labels: Designed to withstand harsh environments and long-term use while maintaining UL compliance.

We work with you to understand your specific product and application requirements to ensure the correct UL category and construction are used for your label

To ensure your UL labels are printed correctly and meet all necessary specifications, we'll need the following information:

  • Quantity needed.
  • Your UL File Number: This is essential for verifying your product's UL certification.
  • Specific UL Category/Type: (e.g., UL Type R, UL Type L, etc.)
  • Label specifications: This includes size, shape, color, and any specific text or graphics.
  • Application details: Where and how will the label be applied? This helps us recommend the right materials and adhesives (e.g., indoor/outdoor, high temperature, chemical exposure).
  • Confirmation of UL approval

Yes, absolutely. We use UL-recognized materials, inks, and adhesives that are specifically approved by Underwriters Laboratories for label printing. This is critical for ensuring your labels maintain their integrity and compliance throughout the product's lifespan. Our team is knowledgeable in selecting the appropriate UL-approved components for your specific application.

Lead times can vary depending on the complexity of your order, the quantity, and current production schedules. Once we have all your specifications, we'll provide you with an estimated lead time. We always strive to deliver your labels efficiently, while maintaining the highest quality standards.
